I can Confirm Its not from Hewa Bora. Its will be from European Airline EI.
They are looking for B767-200 Crews right now. They Prefer South Africans.

Who do you have to forward a CV to..? Are they looking for rated crews or will they provide training, what are their requirements etc..? When do they intend to start operating and where to?

Ok, thanx the info. If possible please put up a post when they start looking for non rated crew. Is there still ex Nationwide Crews around that will leave a job at Comair or the other airlines to go to Interair..in this current job market looks like everyone is sitting tight where they are..?

European Airline EI

If by EI you mean Aer Lingus - they are an all Airbus fleet, i.e. they do not have any Boeing aircraft

Didn't one of the engines have technical problems on a flight from DRC to Jo'burg and they haven't had the financing $$$ to fix it.

Must have a South African Lic with B767-200 Type Rating. Interair will provide recurrent Training with ALTEON/Boeing in London.

Anymore news on this? Interair have apparently been granted rights to Luanda (3x a week) so I'm sure they'd want some decent capacity on the route. Pinch of salt and all that.

is this not the same Interair that folded a long time ago and started up again with a slightly different name but could not pay the staff a retrenchment salary. I seem to remember the owner having a similar name to a bunch of jewellers in Joburg and the owner walked around with a firearm strapped to his ankle.

Be careful guys he can do it again:ugh::ugh:

think that in your HAHAHEHE land the news is old. Very old.

Get back to reality and report what matters. If you can't say something positive, then rather keep quiet.

Airstream International Group are pleased to announce the sale of ex KrasAir B767-200ER, SN: 23180, to Aero Africa an associate company of Interair, South Africa. This Arbor Finance owned aircraft was delivered at Budapest on Friday 25th September and immediately ferried to Addis Ababa to complete a C Check and other in-service maintenance work prior to a planned start of operations from mid November.
Originally with Egyptair this aircraft spent some time with SAA prior to operating for four years with KrasAir before its demise in September 08. Airstream have shown once again the persistence and skills necessary to place aircraft in very difficult market conditions. Source: Airstream

If it's one of the ex Egyptair machines coming back, GOOD LUCK. Flew them as ZS SRB and SRC in SAA.

Very unreliable machines, despite SAA technical's bets efforts to get them right. Poor things were horribly abused by their previous owners.

Also, at their age, watch out.

Having said that, good luck to the guys operating them. The 767's a magic machine.

Interair B767-266ER is an Ex Egypt air machine. Now Reg is ZS-IJB
It is at the present time undergoing a C Check and complete new interior at Ethiopian Airlines. Engines will be overhauled at SAA. One already there.

Four engine jock you seem to have a good working knowledge of Interair and the Boeing 767-266 operation.

Do they there full complement of crew yet, as have a friend that is type rated as a first officer with some experience plus a current Boeing 767/GE CF6-80 licenced engineer as well. He has been trying to find out who is the best person to get in contact within Interair that does the recruitment. Please do you have a contact name, title, telephone number and e-mail address?

PM if that is possible.

Many thanks in advance
Happy landings.
