How long before we see such an option in Oz skies!!

"Privately-owned Chinese low-cost carrier Spring Airlines has spoken to Airbus about adding standing-seats on its Airbus A320s so it can have 40% more passengers on board.":{

China's Spring looks at standing only seats on aircraft (http://www.flightglobal.com/articles/2009/06/30/329016/chinas-spring-looks-at-standing-only-seats-on-aircraft.html)

that would be pleasant, hope they don't have technical delays, or and aircond failure.
I think i'd prefer to not to fly than be treated as a chargeable sausage!

If they don't deserve seats, they don't deserve bags or windows, just put them in the hold?

Do people really want to fly that bad, or is this so some tight wad, can fly their victims cheaper just cause they can and their victims have no choice.

Great concept for budget airlines but the legal side of things will probably see it never get taken up by any airline.

I dunno but the CEO of Ryanair is on the radio saying that he is talking to Boeing about this very arrangement for his 73's.

Apparently he wants some stools or something for such pax to "lean on" instead of the standard seating. They are talking of replacing the back 12 seats for this arrangement. These travellers would also fly free. I assume however that their baggage would fly for a huge fee as they would get to lie down...

It MIGHT actually be better than trying to fit into yer average cattle class seat. Can't get much worse.

Imagine how long the turn-arounds/transits would be if you have to embark/disembark 250 pax on a single aisle aeroplane.
