after several months of shopping for a plane to fit my mission profile (rapidly evolving) and purchase budget (evolving not quite so rapidly), i think i would try this approach.
what i am looking for is something not too expensive to operate and hopefully not too slow in the cruise; old and ugly is fine. i am planning to put 100-150 hours on it within the coming 6 to 12 months.
has anyone seen anything like this for lease anywhere in europe?
i will gladly consider leasing a plane that is up for sale, and will help selling it if necessary (prepare a portfolio of digital documentation, show it to potential buyers, etc.)

Try Transal Aero Services in NL. I believe they have a PA 38, OO-GMD, which was leased to a school in EBCI. I dont see the aircraft on the ramp anymore so it could be returned to owner for onward lease or sold. Might be worth a try though. She is a little rough round the edges but as far as I know is mechanically sound.
