..is he still around or at this Forum?
(he was my fixed wing instructor in Jandakot Airport at Piper West back in the 80's) He also flew long haul (NW to SW in West Aus) choppers from and to Jandakot W.A. back then.

Thx - Gaz

Rod is just now taking up a post for Bristow in Brazil, overseeing the Lider relationship since recent investment. I'll ping him to look up this post and he'll PM you if you're not a stalker :)

Wow, I didn't realize he had shot so far up the corporate ladder!
I was looking back through my first log book and remembered Rod as he did 95% of my training and gave me my first solo flight (13 Sept '82)
I remember being invited to his "bucks party" around that time as well.
Rod taught me every maneuver on the placard that a fixed wing can do, something that has saved my neck on many occasions since.
Like many other of his students inn the 80's .he prob wouldn’t remember me, but thanks for the info. :)
