Isn't Bones Phillip's moth in the museum?

Yep

Stan Phillips or Bones owned Tiger 4 which now resides in the Aviation Heratige Centre (museum) in Darwin. Back in the day it was kept in Ozzies old hanger on the south side. Stan even started a rebuild project for Ozzie in the late 80s which was going to become the second tiger in darwin, but alas it never saw completion. Still remember trying to land that thing on bitumen with only a tail skid, talk about ice skating.

I have not heard of Stan in quite some time, but I am sure someone will be able to fill us in on where he is nowdays.

I haven't got much time for the NT News reporting normally, - but doesn't the referenced article tally pretty well with what the guys have posted above.
The reporter seems have put more than a few words together with a little bit of accuracy added as a bonus.
Truth be known it has more facts that much of the c**p I have been reading in many of the other posts on this forum recently...... AND I doubt the reporter has even got 60hrs in his logbook.
I think he has done well.

Jolly good show! flew over my balcony yesterday as I was opening the 6 pm Pinot Noir.
Thats a Tiger and Harvard overhead darwhine, now for a Merlin to complete the trifecta. (C'mon Hardy boys, tap the old man for some dough for a P-51)
