Gates open at 8.30 tomorrow but does anyone know what time the flying display will start...I can't take my 5 year old too early or he will try to accumulate 3 ton of Tat from the trade stands and I am planning on taking the train home!

There is normally a large model flying display before the main display flying starts.

Record crowds are expected. I would think that the Vulcan would have played apart in that?

I really must complain about the Vulcan and the noise it makes. I live about 35 miles south of Cosford and all afternoon the Vulcan and 2 VC10s have been going backward and forward over my house. No doubt I'll have the same intrusion tomorrow so to maintain my sanity I have just one request - lower please gentlemen, a lot lower please!

It's 35 years since I left Scampton; in a few weeks' I hang up my hat for the last time - seeing the Vulcan again since those happy but noisy days has made this a Saturday to remember. I feel a beer coming on.

I expect one of those VC10's was the one I saw around lunchtime today making its way down the Severn low and slow made a sweeping turn just over Sharpness Docks and headed off in the direction of Monmouth. Would have been even a better day if the Vulcan had turned up as well.

Thanks guys made my day, if only I had a camera with me.

A minute ago it flew over my house in Abbey Meads Swindon. What a beautiful sight. I'm nearly crying, brings back so many happy memories. (and it wasn't as noisy as the VC10)

Watching the cricket at New Road Worcester Saturday...play almost stopped as Vulcan excorted by 2XVC10's overflew the ground....fantastic

Was just on the M4 somewhere near a secret airbase in Wiltshire and caught a glimpse of a very distinctive shape in my rear mirror, :ok: Even that was a beautiful sight. Didn't see the funbus escort though. Bit gutted, if I'd have stayed in Chippenham 5 more minutes I've have had a much better view.

Very well done by the staff on the ground for their fortitude on a hot day.

Top marks must go to an SAC crowd line marshall, who intervened in a most professional manner when 2 p*****d up punters assaulted a member of the public. He held the fort until plod arrived. Well done young man.

And the display was great, and I was off base inside 30 minutes.

Agree entirely, a great display by all concerned particularly Martin Withers and his crew.

Sadly we became unwanted prisoners in Car Park 7 and it took us nearly two two hours to get of the base. Great day out though
