can anyone explain something to me.

why is it that after moving all those S/H crew across to L/H to save jobs because L/H has all the regional flying back are we are now alowing a whole lot of L/H crew to move to S/H. doesn't this negate the whole process in the first place.

That's interseting h girl. According to the LHCC mafia here, no one wants to move from LH to SH?? All the movement is one way according to them; SH to LH.

So there is a lot of movement from people wishing to get out of LH! :ooh:

further, to the last post, my understanding is that there are no LH crew transferring to Short Haul.

They were offered but there was no interest.

Since the Last Long Haul Cabin Crew EBA there has been no need to transfer to Short Haul as there was no increase in hours and all categories have access to part time or 75% rosters at present and a significant increase in flying to bid for

Base transfers have been offered to LH but no takers so far for transfers to domestic.

Pegasus... Perhaps you should read qfcrew. There are 40 transfers being offered from LH to SH. Applications open at 0900 tomorrow (13/6). Since the applications have not officially opened yet, I have no idea how you could possibly know that there is no interest and no one is applying. You must have powers to see into the future, but for the rest of us, we will just have to wait and see if you are right!!

my apologies.... i should have been clearer... there is no one on the divisional Transfer list..

I guess someone may apply but one would think they would be on the list if there was genuine interest.

It will be interesting to see.....i will take bets with anyone interested that there will be less that a handful if any

According to qfcrew, there are 218 on the list for Syd SH, 31 for Mel, and 115 for Bne. These lists are current, and were updated today. They are available on the website for all crew to look at, and have the staff numbers of those crew on the lists.

yes well the problem with the list is that in december that were zero when they offered divisional transfers as no one wanted to go. With the possible exception of brisbane which didnt open up.

Then everyone automatically put their names back on the list. This time when they are offered the transfer to SH if they dont take it they wont be able to put their names back on the list as there will be no further lists.

I still dont think that anyone will actually go just like december

Those lists on the qfcrew website are from Jun 2008.

I think they have to go through the motions whether there are people interested or not.
At least that way, some more availability might be created in international for those who are still on the transfer list to come over from domestic.

Read your last post.
How can you create availability if no one is interested and no one goes to domestic.?
Its a Claytons scenario.
For those in LH who want domestic flying there is enough in the LH Pattern Book for BP 265 to make everyone happy. This domestic flying is likely to be available as long as the domestics transferring to the A380 are here.
That is:
Two years
The long term agenda appears to be one of blending the two divisions by stealth

Well travel thickness, no-one will know unless it is offered now will they, unless you are a psychic.

No Louise in my name BTW.

The company is required to offer the transfer even though you dont need to psychic to know that no one will take it.If anyone wanted to transfer to domestic they have had ample opportunity to do so.
So far none have.Ergo none will

Company management,domestics,QCCA,A380 and divisional transfers are all irrelevant.
If you want to be happy in the workplace disregard all of the above and concern yourself with yourself.
Getting hot and bothered about all the nonsense achieves absolutely nothing. The juggernaut rolls on.
I am earning more money and still going to the same destinations I have been going to for years.
I did the exceptional day and it was very entertaining. All these incompetent fops running around with the same stupid grin on their faces. When asked for an opinion about something I told them everything was fantastic.
I engage with passengers so when there is aservcie failure of some sort(there always is)they are more understanding.
I enjoy flying more because I dont get angry.
Flying is something I do between staying at home
Tools, kids clothes, toys, razor blades, toothpaste, shaving cream, cosmetics for the wife, computers, champagne, cameras are all purchased overseas at greatly reduced prices.
Flying for a living is fan bloody tastic

butterfield... you hit it on the head
that's right!

I like the part about the buffoons running around the exceptional centre, what a pack of morons!
however its still sad that they have a useless overpaid job and the service desk girls are made redundant :ugh::mad:
