Something different.

While rummaging through my Mother's junk, I came across this book. Rather than try to describe it, I hope a cutting from (I think) the Belfast Telegraph will appear below and explain all.

I found it fascinating. A real blast from the past with lots of old names I recognised and many pictures.

Of course the title is erroneous, as most of us know it as a RNAY Belfast......

My Mother served there from about 1942 - 1955. My Father, upon his return from the Far East, from 1947 - 1962.

Buccs were sent Sydenham for major servicing in the 70s. Only managed a night stop there once to recover one from 'major' to Honington.
