As some of you may know I restore ejection seats for return to flight projects, fellow collectors and museums. I don't do it for money and make no gain from these projects. I also write and maintain the web site www.ejectorseats.co.uk (http://www.ejectorseats.co.uk)I am working on a Type 9B Mk 2 (Jaguar) seat for display in a museum at the moment and am in desperate need of one or two bits.
The jags have recently been withdrawn from service and I wondered if there might be a scource of parts out there for the restoration..
Ejection gun type 17 Mk1 or type 15 Mk2
Top latch plunger assembly
Rocket pack No 5 Mk3 & attachment bolts (NO NOT LIVE!!!) Dummy or spent unit fine.
Full oxygen system (pilot and aircraft sides)
The rest of the seat is 100% and completed and I would like to finish this project and get it online ASAP.
I have tried all the usual places and have drawn as much as I can from here. People have been very supportive.
Does anyone out there know where I may find the last few bits to finish the project?
Having said that- If anyone knows of any other ejection seats that need a home and a bit of TLC - I'm always open to suggestions.
Also needed are ejection stories and pictures for the site.
Thanks in advance..:ok:
