Aviation Degrees

I dont know if this post belongs here but...

I have a mate asking me about "aviation degrees" at universitys such as University of New South Wales, Swinbourne and Griffith. I belive these degrees offered are more of an engineering based set up, however they do have aircraft at Bankstown and such places. I was just wondering if any one knows if these degrees would allow you to gain your PPL/CPL. Thanks

There are plenty of those degrees that combine study with practical flying experience but don't be fooled into thinking that the cost of gaining your PPL/CPL or ATPL as offered by them is simply all incorporated into the degree and will be paid for by your education board. Generally these degees all require seperate payment.
