Need help fast plz looking for flight school

HI, a month ago I found a link in a thread to a flightschool in the UK, with really good prices and a free 170a, I can't recall the name though and can't find the thread plz help

That's the problem can't remember the name I think it's in th London area, not sure though, somebody said they are best balance between price and service for cpl and ir me?

That could be anywhere mate tottally dependant on personal opinion
I would suggest you get googling and find whichever is cheapest for yourself

Free 170A? :eek: Most schools need to hire in another examiner for the 170A and you would pay that person directly. You must surely still have to pay for the aircraft?

If the school has someone who is authorised to undertake CPL courses and 170A, why would they then give their time for free? :confused:

The 170A flight is simply another training flight, although usually performed by a person authorised by the CAA to sign the 170A form, rather than an 'ordinary' instructor. As such it is part of the minimum hours so should be included in the course price.

Some schools charge a 170A fee on top of this flight, sometimes as Whirlygig says because they have to hire in a 170A signatory, sometimes as a way of making some money from you. Others schools do not.

I suggest you look carefully at the prices quoted by schools.

And remember, cheapest is not necessarily the best.

Very wise advice indeed - think more in terms of facilities, standard of aircraft, student to instructor ratio, pass rates, location, etc. etc.

Cheap headline deals will usually cost you dearly....
