According to tonight's Real ER on Sky 1, Helimed 53 flew heart attack victim Bill from his home to Walsgrave hospital Coventry, a distance of 45 miles, in 6 minutes
To prove this was no fluke, they later flew an injured horse rider to the same hospital, again 45 miles away, again in 6 minutes.
On behalf of of all those who fly proper EMS helicopters, I would like to apologise unreservedly for taking the p__s out of the A109 for so long!
