Does anyone know how many times you can retake the same subject for the ATPLS before the whole lot fall through and you have to retake all 14? I have done two retakes on a subject and I have done four sittings, I am currently in a remote location and time differences make contacting the Ivory tower difficult!

You are allowed 4 attempts at any one paper and all 14 exams have to be passed within 6 sittings if you don't want to start from scratch. You also have to complete all exams within 18 months of your first sitting. Hope this helps, Gaz.

Hi

I did the atpls 5 years ago and I believe that you were allowed 4 attempts per subject but 6 sittings overall. Might be worth giving the CAA a shout just to doublecheck. Best of luck

Thanks guys, thats a relief, I thought it was three. I have only made four sittings so far so I have room for error, mind you 73% in both attempts, how can failure be so acurrate? Will defo be getting some tutoring now to get me through this mess!
