Anyone on the Stage 1 GS starting June the 22nd with CATS?

Am interested to see how people are getting on and what their expectations are of the week.

Am almost complete on the study side and am now hitting the Bristol QB every day.

Cheers

Hi 122.85,

I'll be at cranfield for stage 1 brush up in June as well. Studying going alright, good days and bad days, though beginning to panic as I've been spending most of my time on met and am only just starting air law/ops now! Im also taking radio nav in this sitting as well due to my work not being too good about time off just now so I figured if I had the wednesday off anyway for met then I may as well do radio nav too, and cats were fine with it too, very flexible!

Im the same with the Bristol QB too!

Still need to sort out acommodation and travel down to cranfield.

Happy studying!:ok:

You should have no trouble finding some accomodation in the area as the airfield is inside the Uni campus. Good idea about the RNAV! I have my confirmation about exams now and managed to get Shuttleworth which makes things a lot easier for me!

See you in June!

Hi, I'm also studying CATS from afar and am considering signing up to the Bristol QB. What I would like to know is that if either of you notice a huge difference between the CATS question bank and Bristols. Thanks.

Hi MetalGear

There is not a massive difference but the QB is so easy to use that I think it is worth the extra money. Plus I think they are the closest to what you will sit in the exams.

Hey MetalGear,

I'd definitely recommend the BGS question bank too, although alot of the questions are similar to the exam based questions cats provide, the BGS question bank actually has more questions, plus most have an explanation of the answer where cats QB only tells you correct or not. Definitely £50 well spent!

Happy studying :ok:

CATS has far more learning material from Key Facts books online and superb Overiew lectures

It is the Topic based questions which are the god-send with their detailed explanations where you can learn the subjects
