Hello all. I am moving to Cumbria shortly for 6months and was hoping to keep my love of flight up while I was there. I am a reasonably young and reasonably fit qualified PPL holder but I am open to any suggestion in any way connected to aviation.

If you're in that part of the world, need and extra pair of hands or know of some active groups doing anything (within realms of decency!) please drop me a line and let me know...

Cheers.

James

Welcome to gods country!! or should I say county!

Depending which end of the county your moving to your best bet will either be Carlisle or Walney(Barrow in Furness).Theres a couple of firms offering hire at Carlisle.Border Air Training or Carlisle Flight Training. You can find a fair bit by turning up in the Cafe(Under Tower) around Lunch Time where most of the Instructors will be dining. You can find out more of course be checking their website's.

Or you could always try Kirkbride.

Very popular weekend destination to the West of Carlisle
