Apologies if the wrong forum but I've no idea what one would be most appropriate.

I quite fancy going for my PPL and I understand I can use my ELC to pay for some of it, how much I'm not exactly sure and I will of course take a stroll down to the learning centre whenever I'm back at work.

Have any of you good folk out there started/completed your PPL and if so how did you find it? I'd be especially interested to hear from those who have claimed against the ELC.

I claimed ELC as part of my CPL. You have to use a training organisation that is registered in the ELC scheme. Sort out the ELC paperwork before you start your course and present to the training establishment.

I have one student (not aircrew) doing the IMC rating and have had a number of PPL students all with funding from the ELC.

All the RAF flying clubs should be able to help you with this however if you want me to put you in contact with my curent student who will have the very latest info PM me.
