Hi there...

I am "JJ" or "bimjim", the pilot/programmer/webmaster who created, and then maintained the caribbeanalpa.com web site for so many years.

Last year CaribbeanALPA had a sea change in it's Executive from a majority from the south-east - Barbados, Trinidad, Antigua - to a majority from the north-east - Jamaica, Bahamas and the Cayman Islands - and the new of that august body decided to terminate both the Discussion Forum on their web site and my daily services.

At that point, instead of simply discarding all the information, knowledge and joy in the Forum and leaving, I moved the entire database to my one of own Domains and fired it up again, this time with a broader focus - that of all aviation employees throughout the region.

The new name decided on among the more frequent users is CRANe - the Caribbean Regional Aviation Network - and it is now located here...
• CRANe for the Caribbean :: Welcome, everyone!! • (http://www.caribbeanavenue.com/aviation/index.php)

All of the former users were transferred to the new location, with their usernames, passwords and Posts intact, and it continues to serve Caribbean aviation in the region.

As before, I continue to monitor the Forum daily for SPAM and illegal Posts, and registration is still manual through myself, the Administrator - there is no way for SPAMmers to register automatically with their on-line software and spread their smelly garbage on our virtual ramps and runways.

I welcome any and all who wish to read about of comment on Caribbean regional aviation, and I continue to Post current news of interest to the region as a whole.

All the best,

Jim Lynch

That's great news Jim!! If a dollar was given to me for each time I visited the old site in the hope of the forum being up, I would be a rich man today:ok:. Well, off to this new site!

Cheers
