In its annual Aerospace Forecast released yesterday, the agency projected that combined US mainline and regional carrier capacity will decrease 6.7% in 2009, with mainline ASMs shrinking 9.5%, "signaling the largest reduction in domestic mainline capacity since deregulation of the industry in 1978." US system RPMs will drop 7.1% this year as passenger enplanements slide 7.3%, it said, adding that "growth is projected to return in 2010 with system RPMs and passengers increasing 2.8% and 2% respectively on a capacity increase of 2.6%."

I remember a forecast for the likely number of aerial spraying aircraft made in about 1976?

At the time there were around 62 Ag aircraft in the UK.

Based on this fact, it was estimated that there would be 882 (or some sort of number) by the year 2000.

By that time there was...... one Ag aircraft.

Straight line expansion never seems to work - there's always a ..... glitch?
