Thanks JJ - spot-on! Memory plays funny tricks, I had not found it (on Google earth) by looking too close to the town - I'd forgotten how long the drive must have been. They were merely thieves and extortionists when I was there, (91 & 93)tho I had a nasty moment with trucks appearing fast from the Berbera road. I left even faster, much to the amazement of my ground crew!
WE did hear of some poor sod robbed there of everything but his undepants which must have given the Djibouti customs and immigtation - to say nothing of taxi drivers and hotel receptionists, a good chuckle later on.
