The Nigerian Air Traffic Safety Engineers (NAAE) may go on strike today in protest against payment of enhanced allowances. The strike could paralyse navigations, communication and surveillance facilities for the nation's airspace.

Talks between the Nigerian Airspace Management Authority (NAMA) and Air Traffic Safety Engineers over enhanced allowances remained deadlocked at the weekend.

The Amalgamated Union of Public Corporations, Civil Service Technical and Recreational Services Employees (AUPCTRE), the parent body of the National Association of Air Traffic Engineers (NAAE) had issued a fresh seven day ultimatum in a letter dated March 17.
