Flew out with Air Malta from Manchester 1st March and back last Sunday. Had a good trip both ways but were delayed half an hour outbound and also inbound. Other departures from Malta were taking half hour delays, due to a crew and Air Malta managment . What is this all about and is it still ongoing.

Merv - can you help us with any further explanation of what this means?

There's an industrial dispute between the pilots and management.

Not a sensible time to be playing silly buggers.

The passengers were none too happy when it was announced, ONE HOUR BEFORE DEPARTURE but seems to be over new schedules, only guessing.

Half an hour both ways! You should try BA LHR-ABZ, then you'd realise how lucky you are.

Half an hour?? Golly. What is it with English people and their obsession with time. Try flying out of Rome Fiumicino with less than a half hour delay. In fact, try flying at all with Alitalia :ugh:

All explained here. timesofmalta.com - Pilots suspend industrial action (http://www.timesofmalta.com/articles/view/20090317/local/pilots-suspend-industrial-action/)
