If you like looking at people freezing their nads off, check out the following: "Hemmelig" militærøvelse - an.no (http://www.an.no/bildeserier_anb/article4209554.ece)

And where are the Brits !!?The Brits are getting lots of hot/high experience - in operational conditions in the rocky place, with less than 100% support/commitment from many of their so-called NATO allies.

Not according to the locals up here :ooh:

But I accept your point.

Calm down airborne..... :rolleyes:

And the UK Mod still values a bit of cold weather training, and both the RAF and FAA has participated in ex Clockwork earlier this winter. The Merlin was probably on it's way home.

There are several Northern nations (http://politiken.dk/newsinenglish/article650209.ece) who are no less commited than the British.

I also seem to recall one of them transferring 7 Merlins quite willingly when the UK had an urgent requirement.

Not entirely sure what your point is there old chap?:confused:

Having just spent best part of a month up the top of Norway, us 'Brits' were definitely doing some winter training.
The cab at Bodo was indeed on recovery to the UK.

Not entirely sure what your point is there old chap?

That's because I was not trying to make one.

If I was, then according to 'our' government we have the whole TELIC / HERRICK thing covered with no problem and anybody who says different is just a right wing defeatist @rse trying to score cheap points off nuuu labour and "not my fault" Brown.

Should this be the case* then the point was merely curiosity as to why UK PLC was not involved in the Ex bundled into a rhetorical question.

* IMHO not quite....
