No idea Oz. It was to be included in the forum listing but all gone quiet since we were first advised.

I posted the question in our Admin Forum (The Mod House) a few days ago but got ignored. :{

My guess the Chat Room is not a high priority. I know there is a massive site upgrade due soon and assume it may be included in that?

I find it a little worrying that the mods ignore a question....... If it is not a high priority they should say so.

Hell, it's easy enough to setup a proper IRC chat server and whack a link on the front page.

The room has been open every day, just not many users.

Have chatted with 2 users at once about 10 days ago, one in each hemisphere.

I dunno about anyone else, but I'm usually at work then and am actually paid to work, so can't join in much before about 1100 UTC. Such is the problem with timezones around the PPRuNe world...
