:ouch: Well when is the Airline industry going to join the "Q" and rightfully get a bailout from Government ? Does this Industry not employ millions as well ?

Not within the EU there won't. Brussels does not allow that sought of thing you know. Unless of course AF or LH are in real trouble then the rules will change I would expect.

The usual questions asked by responsible governments when assessing the need for financial support are

Was the company financially healthy prior to the the crisis?
Does it have a robust, profitable and long-term business plan?
Is the company (or industry) of systemic significance?

If the answer's "Yes" to all three questions, there might be justification for financial support.

In the case of airlines, of course, you'll get "No" three times.

After having protected the american airlines under chapter 11 for years and years...

A lot of them would have gone belly up a long time ago!
