737 formation!

On Sunday 22 February I spotted two what look like B-737s flying close together ,I am working on a project North West of Cairo and it would appear that these two may have come from Cairo and were heading for Alexandria,as they came overhead the distance between had already widened.Would this be allowed as commercial flights fly over regularly,I am assuming they may have been Military?

It is nigh on impossible for a ground observer to estimate the altitude of an aircraft but how high do you think they were? Are you sure they were at the same altitude? If not, they may have been 1000 ft apart and therefore legally separated. In busy airspace you will see such things on a daily basis. It looks scary, but it is totally safe.
