When one looks at "view source" in an email for the location of an embedded image, you see something like:

"src="cid:CFCC09FD55E544BB998F39AB34CCD5E2@DFC5Z1B1"
width=500></SPAN><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt"></SPAN> "

Does anybody know any way to recover the JPEG image rather than just save as HUGE .bmp's - which is all that MS OUTLOOK seems to offer.I know that you can later convert the bmp's to jpegs but it's just unnecessary hassle.

Can you see the image? If so, you might be able to copy it, from inside Outlook, and paste it into a graphics program. Even good ol' MS Paint can save an image as JPEG.

Or use Gadwin printscreen - does what it says on the tin, very well. For free :ok:

Or change the email package you are using.

If you use mozilla thunderbird it will save it as a jpg straight off the cuff, depends whether your going to do this frequently or not and can live with the change.
