I looked for any discussion of this on the Mil boards but couldn't see anything! Can anyone shed any more light on it? VERY close call! :bored:

I would argue that the video is an argument that see and avoid DOESN'T work :)

On the other hand, big sky theory...

Surely this proves that it DOES work, seeing how he avoided a collision!

And bear in mind he's probably not focusing 100% on "See and Avoid" at the time and if I'm to believe the papers (Which mainly I don't) he's running in after passing IP and discussing his next waypoint with his RIO and he's doing 500kts? (Someone will no doubt correct me if I'm wrong about this)

Not the clearest video, but it appears to show that the tornado manoever did not have any impact ;) on the lack of collision - thankfully, the aircraft tracks were not fully converging.

Big Sky theory works most of the time :D

I don't think anybody took any avoiding action, hence the 'dum-de-dum' singing to cover sound of trousers turning brown.
