Unfortunately I don't speak Italian so I apologise for asking this in English.

I have some questions about the merger between Alitalia and Airone:

How many pilots where at Alitalia and Airone respectively?

Did any pilots really lose their job( or is it mainly groundstaff), and if so, how many at each airline?

And how are the pilots list integrated in the new airline (alitalia)

I'm a pilot with KLM. I have no hidden agenda in asking, just it would seem a tremendously complicated integrating proces with a lot of hardship on the pilots of both former company's.

There would be a lot to learn about how the situation is dealt with. In any case, I wish al the people affected all the best and I hope finally the new airline will succeed and the employees will have a steady and secure future.

860 pilot are without job but if we considere the close-end contract pilot in airone the number of pilot without job will increase

the integration of pilot list has not been discussed yet

The "New Alitalia" in general are two Airlines, Alitalia (incl. Express and Volare) and AirOne (incl. CityLiner)

The Alitalia guys had to sign the new "CAI" contract, because their company acutally went bust and a lot of them are at home, AirOne guys are still with AirOne contracts, as nothing changed in the company so far, apart from the owner.

Starting from around march/april a lot of contracts will end and as it seems now, only very few of them will be renewed, instead of that Alitalia MD 80 Pilots will be trained on A320 or 737. Thats how it seems now.

It may be different tomorrow, I even think they still dont know what to do the day after tomorrow.

One thing is sure, at AirOne we are short of crews, in the cockpit and in the cabin.

Last week I flew with only 3 C/As while they leave C/As at home.

Will be a very interesting summer.
