Print queue blocked

Called to friend's machine - and am more confused than him!

PDF doc failed to print, refuses to delete. Printer itself will not delete. Tried reloading at as 'copy 1'. It won't print.

Any ideas ?

Restart the PC without the printer connected. If the print doc is still there, delete it.

Reconnect printer.

You have checked that the document in question wasn't a virus, I take it?

Apologies for late acknowledgement - Sent Keef's instructions on to friend, who I bumped into last night - apparently solved the problem instantly - many thank's (and yes did check doc for virus - innocent PDF)
