Hi everyone - love reading the threads/stories on this forum - some very interesting and sometimes moving posts offering a real insight, keep em coming.

I'm researching some new low flying photo opportunities in the Brecon Beacons area of wales. This week I visited the Usk Valley between Brecon and Sennybridge but this seemed to be the wrong spot. As aircrew and seasoned enthusiasts I was wondering if someone could pm me a recommended vantage point - Talybont on Usk is next on my list (between Crickhowell and Brecon) but would love to know if there is somewhere else that should be on my radar!

Keep up the great work

Alex

Thanks "always"

I've tried warplane but its all centred around the mid & north of Wales which is understandable as thats where the majority of flying takes place.

I was looking for something more "local" to me lol:ok:

Why not paint 'P1ss off Biggles (http://pissoffbiggles.com/)' on a barn roof and see what turns up...... :ok::}

I've seen a Herc at very low level over Crickhowell - and the odd Hawk, too. No idea if this is a regular route, though (not being a member of the master race m'self).

Tmm - the Herc you saw could have been en route to/from the Sennybridge DZ. I only jumped into it once, but the spotters were all in bed. It was at 0200 :}

Thread title reminds me of happy days bumbling about pissing wet through on the Brecons. We had a weasily little porridge wog RSM who, every time a FJ went overhead, would announce "look at that smug wee bastard - one sip of his gin and tonic and he's gone further than we go all day". Always made me laugh anyway:)
