Hi Guys,
I a PPL holder and was planning to do some hour building this summer. Initially I was planning to go back to the US but while doing some research I came across a course in South Africa, 8-day course and you get 20hrs flying in and a bush flying cert! My main interest is that its something different and sounds exciting!

Does anyone have any experiences with this type of flying or indeed the school "Sky Africa"? Would really appreciate some advice and also some opinions on hour building in general around SA-Schools etc

Cheers,
Dan

I can't help with the extra information you seek, but I would love to do that course. Do a google search. I seem to recall finding a few first-hand accounts of the course on the www.

Have fun and please report back to the Pprune community when you're done.

have a look at Bush Air - Bush Air - Bush Pilot School, South Africa. Advanced Bush and Mountain Flying and Training. Bush flying, bush pilots, mountain flying , bush pilot course. (http://www.bushair.co.za) - I did the course there - it was awesome to say the least. Afterwards I flew all over Southern Africa with my wife to hour build for my CPL. Good luck
