Yeah i heard it on the radio as well, apparently it was up side down by the time they were pulling it out of the lake near Ukerewe island with the pilot on top of it. The float plane was flying in that area on the same day. No more info from me.

Hi Guys,
Any more news?
Was it the 'N' registered 185?

Indeed it was the N-registered 185.

From the website of his outfit: On Thursday, January 22nd, at approximately 1330 local time, a Cessna 185 equipped with amphibious floats flipped over while landing on the water at Ukerewe Island, Tanzania. The pilot was the sole occupant of the aircraft and received only minor injuries. A team reached Ukerewe Thursday night and are investigating and recovering the aircraft in conjunction with local authorities.

Glad to hear he is okay. Not many more details than this time.
