Folks.

Just trying to put together some filler text for a travel guide I've been co-writing, and need a couple of facts to sprinkle on the top.

Anybody know where I can find out which region of the world offers the cheapest flights with budget carriers? It'd be good to find a source that breaks the stats down to an average 'per mile' cost or something like that.

Surely this is a hopeless exercise, given exchange rate volatility? For example, from a UK perspective fares priced in euros are today not much short of 50% more expensive than when the euro stood at 67 pence. Conversely, for eurozone customers fares priced in sterling must look a bargain.
To do it properly, you'd have to look into purchasing power parity.

Nah, just using a US Dollar as a barometer to get a ballpark figure. I don't need anything too scientific.

I've found a really good source now though.
