Any of you guys have a clue how I could contact Taffy Holden, best known for his legendary inadvertant Lightning flight at Lyneham?

I've tried messaging him via another forum but he seems to have disappeared. Any ideas?

Thanks!

you'd be surprised how hard it can be to track some people down - unlike some of us that just won't go away;)

Walter 'Taff' Holden, not Taffy.

Duxford have the jet. I suspect they have been in touch with the man.

JACKONICKO: I know this is an old thread, but I was bored, and I've seen your posts on other sites I visit. Some of them were, likewise, in error. I'd say 'Taffy" is just fine. He signed his name such on numerous occasions. Like in his post on The Key-aero Network, The Aviation Forum, where in 2006 he posted his complete version of the before, after, and during flight. Safer not to speak for other people, eh? I tried posting a link, but, alas, the site administrators here do not trust those of us who have less than 10 posts to do such.

Interesting that this thread came back up today and at the same time I stumble onto a youtube video detailing his flight.
Taffy Holden's accidental flight
If the narrator is correct Taffy unfortunately passed in 2016.

The full story in his own words is in the thread linked to in the first post above (see post #35 on page 2 (https://forum.keypublishing.com/forum/historic-aviation/21319-lightning-xm135-inadvertant-flight-by-w-cdr-holden?p=1452060#post1452060) on the Key forums). AFAIK Taffy is indeed no longer with us.

Taffy did visit his Lightning F1 (XM135) at IWM Duxford before his passing. A colleague of mine there was doing his AirSpace tour featuring the story as he attended. 'Taffy' retold it to the public in front of the aircraft I understand. There used to be a YouTube video of the encounter.
