Have to head to Atlanta on business in April, made booking last week on Delta (b763 biz class) from Gatwick to Atlanta.
Just got e-mail from travel saying flight now op by NW (a333).

Should I be happy or try to switch back to DL (presumably ex LHR) ?

Any thoughts please ?

Thanks, RJK.

I think Delta and Northwest have merged.

You could also route AC via Canada from LHR if you fancy a stopover.

Thanks guys, yes, aware of the merger. Wasn't expecting the switch of aircraft as I only booked on Friday. Having done more digging, looks like the 330 might be comfortable than the 763 so guess I'll leave as is. Wasn't sure how NW service compared with DL.
It's a restricted ticket so can't change to AC.

Never been on DL763 but in November flew transatlantic on NW A332 in economy and found it very comfortable indeed. Food was pretty good too and IFE system was excellent, so I wouldn't worry if I were you.

Only used the service once.

The 763 was tired, but the crew were absolutely lovely, local Atlanta folks with real Southern warmth and I have to say I was surprised after some other US carrier experiences.

The seats weren't the best, so you've probably doen okay :ok:

Thanks again guys for taking the trouble to reply.
Sounds to me like I should stay put with the NW flight.

Looks like DL12 / 11 has become DL812 / 811 operated by NWA. So three months after pulling out, Northwest are back at Gatwick!
