And just why do you consider an almost fatal military aircraft accident to be 'still great'?

' And just why do you consider an almost fatal military aircraft accident to be 'still great'? '

Yet another fantastic example of the dinosaurs of this forum using any excuse to drag their decrepit frames to the high moral ground. This is a fine video for lots of reasons, principally pride comes before a fall.

Barrage of outrage and indignation incoming!

A cocky arse of a pilot gets his come-uppance. Shame he had to nearly kill the other crerwman whilst doing so.

Have to point out that the use of the word 'great' is hardly appropriate in this case.

The dictionary defines great to mean 'above average in bulk, number, extent'. 'Above average in intensity'. 'Important, pre-eminent'. 'Imposing'. 'Distinguished'. 'Of remarkable ability' etc.

This clip is none of the above but it does show how a crass decision and ignoring a second opinion cause an accident.

soddim, absolutely!

A salutary lesson in CRM, I agree. But neither a 'great' nor 'fine' video clip.

Is it not a great example of poor CRM etc? ;)

I concur with BEagle and Soddim. An example of poor CRM.

But what really interests me is...

This clip has probably been on PPRuNe before

... and it has. So why did you feel the need to resurrect it?

Perhaps you meant to put it in the CRM forum?
