I am eager to become a pilot one day and therefore for my work experience I would like to work at a UK airport, preferably Edinburgh.

Does anyone have any ideas or contacts as to how one would get a placement.

Thanks in advance.

I would try:

- Glasgow/Prestwick/Edinburgh ATC
- Tayside Aviation
- RAF Leuchars
- Leading Edge Flying School

Just call ATC on their normal numbers and ask what they could do for you.

A friend of mine blagged work experience with RAF groundcrew at RAF Cottesmore about 6 or 7 years ago, lucky git. Got a ride in a Tornado at the end of the week :(

So that might be worth a shot. Maybe try your local AFCO

"- Glasgow/Prestwick/Edinburgh ATC"

Do you have any idea what the numbers are or where to find them?

You could be swish, buy a two-way radio and contact them via 118.700 and ask for a job!

(Its called being proactive!) ;)

Prestwick - (0)1292 511032 for ATC

For Glasgow and Edinburgh I would probably suggest you give NATS a call on:

General Enquiries: 01489 616001
HR Enquiries: 01489 616090
