I'm definitely "computer challenged". Got the basics of making a power point presentation, but can not insert sound. The sound is recorded in the windows recorder. In PP, I click insert sound from an archivo, get the speaker icon on the PP page, but can not get any sound. The recorded sound is the sound icon on the desktop. It will play if I double-click it. Apparently, something isn't going right. :ugh:

Anybody help?
Bob.

Just checked using Powerpoint 2003 and Vista. Adding a sound file to the Powerpoint page puts the loudspeaker icon on the page and I then get an option to start the sound automatically or when double clicked - default is automatic. Go to slideshow and sound starts automatically. Works with a windows audio media file but no reason to suppose it won't work with other types of file.

Do you get the start option dialogue box?

Okay, it was the format, evrything's okay now. It appears that only certain formats work. Thanks.
Bob.
