For the second month in a row - there aren't any reports.

Check here (http://www.aaib.dft.gov.uk/publications/bulletins/january_2009.cfm) for proof.

This isn't evidence of any trend in heli accidents, but still.

Hilico, I think there must be a back-log building up. I haven't seen a report out yet about Colin McRae's accident in September 2007. (It's hard to think that this was so long ago....a tragic loss. Maybe there will be some salutory lessons for us all.)

Brandii Cherry (http://www.aaib.dft.gov.uk/publications/bulletins/january_2009/brandli_cherry_bx_2__g_bxux.cfm) - I'm sure I saw her in a video once........:E

There does seem to be a blockage in AAIBs reports. I bought a write off which had suffered a tail rotor strike in May 08. Pretty non contentious. No injuries. 'Res ipsa loquitur' engineering wise yet still no report.

No critiscism of AAIB intended. They may well be busy with more important stuff.

I called them a while ago to see if I could get back some of the parts they took and they told me the result was still some months off.
