RN Transfer Groundcrew

Hi there!

Been a WAFU on the Merlin circuit now for a couple of years and have been desperate to get posted to Benson for more 'green' work!! Drafty has told me no chance so am feeling a little fed up with just heading to Oman every 4 months! Im looking to transfer to the RAF but am slighly unsure how I would stand as AETs in the Navy are not trained in a specific field (Avionics/Mechanical). Also how long return of service would I have to give the RN!

Give one of your counterparts from MFES at Benson a ring anytime after the 5th Jan. I am sure they will be able to help you out with some answers.:ok:

I think the RAF Careers office would be a better sugestion, they will give you the exact critria you need to meet.
