Any RAF Cooks in here? Especially any with experience of handling mess christmas puddings.
Why? Well, the Baroness has to write a risk assessment and method statement for the movement of said items by forklift using the proper tongs/grabs or whatever.
Could anyone give her a start?

It is best to warm the brandy in a deep ladle over a gas flame,before lighting; a 20,or perhaps a 30mm shell,(depending on the size of pud) casing filled with said liquid,and a marzipan top,inserted in the lower middle of said pud ,will add to the `flaming `display.If the puds are `service issue` they can be used against an enemy,as most will be dated `1945` or thereabouts; note,it is probably best not to use the brandy at the start of a fusillade,as the natives will interpret it as a sign of `goodwill`,and a free feast,especially at Ramadan.Gurkha rum can be used,if you can prise any away from a Gurkha, in sparing amounts,until the enemy are subdued,and then a `camo-kazi` counter attack can be madequite easily, as you can hear them moaning in the `kazis`....or so I was told by an old Fakir of Khazistan....Merry Christmas to all the Guys and Dolls who won`t be home at Christmas...keep safe out there...:ok:Syc..

Carrying near-boiling sticky liquid in an open container - the SHSO would have kittens! Pop into to see your engineers - you can't go wrong if you copy their LOXing Risk Assessment (goggles, leather protective gloves and apron, and a fire crew on standby).
