Hi Guys,
Fairly new to this neck of the woods and have come across something I haven't heard of before.
ILS runway 23 at CGP min RVR 800 Metres / min vis 1,000 metres.
Apparently the RVR equipment has not been calibrated so even though the RVR and met vis was 900 metres ATC would not allow the approach.
With the met vis still below ATCs minimum of 1,000 one of the holding aircraft requests (and is granted) an approach at "pilots discretion".
Is this legal in these parts?
