This is probably aimed at former and present Nimrod MR2 crew.

I remember playing a game drinking game down route with the MR2 crews in the 90's but can't remember the exact rules.

Can anyone help?

Play the Game!:ok:

Cheers,

Andy

Mexies is a Gentlemens drinking game, played with 2 dice, and should be played within the spirit of the game as well as the rules. Invented by 120Sqn in the early 90s, the following specific rules apply. The object is to throw "Mexies" the top score of a 2-1, which doubles any forfeit. With Mexies thrown, everyone has to spontaneously sing the Mexies song! :ok:

Next highest 6-6 is "Bene" and everyone has to drink an immediate forfeit. Followed by 5-5, 4-4, 3-3 and 2-2. 1-1 is "Snake eyes" and the thrower nominates someone to a compulsory drink. The values decrease with the numbers on the dice, with a few exceptions. 4-3 is "Ooh Aar",
4-2 is "fower two" (aka, waagh Bobby n Jacky, are yoo Swiss?), 4-1 is "Pants", 3-2 is "Arse" and 3-1 is "Scumbag" which is the lowest possible score and means the thrower has to take a compulsory drink. However "Scumbag" is then counted as a free throw and the individual must throw again.

The first person to throw decides if his score is good enough, and has up to 3 throws to choose from. Every person then throws the dice up to the maximum number as rolled by the first person. The person with the lowest score has to drink the required forfeit.

The forfeit is to be decided before the start of the game and there should be a sensible "House limit" (ie two fingers or one bottle or can). If two people throw the same lowest score "Tete a la Tete" is called. They will then throw head to head to decide the loser.:*

General rules:
A chairman is appointed by the players and must apply the rule vigorously.

No pointing with the finger, elbows are the preferred option. Anyone seen pointing will be instructed by the chairman to drink a forfeit.:hmm:

Anyone deemed to have wrongly accused someone of a misdemeanour will have to drink a forfeit.:oh:

Peer pressure must be heavily exerted againsy anyone not "playing the game".:=

Hope this helps rekindle the fond memories of alcohol induced rip-roaring fun days of Rum Punch etc and top tip; if spirits are to be the forfeit, do not mix gatorade with vodka and tequila, as the stains take for ever to come out of the T-shirt.:{

The mexies song is the first 2 bars of ‘Tequila’ shouted as loud as possible in the style of:

“Dah Da DaDa DaDa Da Da Dah Da DaDa DaDa Dah, Tequila!!”

At the start this will be almost in tune and in time... But will quickly deteriorate as the rounds continue.

DFM,

Thanks for the detailed reply. It certainly fills in the blanks in the memory (but not the ones induced by playing the game!)

Cheers,

Andy
