Remember the picture of a business jet in bath of foam in a hangar? I was never 100% sure this was for real but thankfully it has been proven now beyond doubt.

I wonder how much damage this foam will have on the aircraft. Can't be a lot can it?

I remember seeing a Blackhawk inside a hangar filled with foam, I have been told it's very carrosive.

From the link in my first post:

Firefighters said the foam - which is salt-water based - is considered caustic but not toxic.

So I would imagine that corrosion could be an issue if the remaining helicopter is exposed for too long :uhoh:

It was unknown how the foam would affect the one helicopter that was inside the hangar, although most speculated the chopper will not be operational for quite some time.

I think the same thing happened in one of the AAC's Apache hangers a couple of years ago. Proves the system works.
