Hi. Just wondered if there was anywhere that specified how many questions and how long each exam was (like the confuser tells you for the PPL). I'm going through Bristol GS and averaging about 2mins question on general nav. Not sure if this is fast enough? Also would appeciate knowing if these progress test questions are as representative as those in the databank (which I'm not going to sign up to for another couple of months). Thanks

Each exam is different with a differant number of questions and a differant time limit depending on the subject.

Some exams have as few as around 25 questions and a time limit of an hour, whilst some can have up to 60 IIRC and last for 3 hours.

I'm sure someone else will have a more comprehensive list of the length and number of questions in each exam.

:)

Here is a rough guide my school gave me. The time is pretty fixed, but the number of questions may vary by +/- 5:

Air Law: 75 Questions, 1 Hour 40
Aircraft General Knowledge: 76 Questions, 2 Hours
Instruments: 56 Questions, 1 Hr 30
Mass and Balance: 22 Questions, 1 hour
Performance: 34 Questions, 1 hr
Flight planning: 56 Questions, 3 hours (a killer)
HPL: 47 Questions, 1 hour
Met: 90 Questions, 2 hours 30
Gen Nav: 54 Questions, 2 hours
Radio Nav: 59 Questions, 1 hour 30
Ops: 50 Questions, 1 hour 20
PoF: 44 Questions, 1 hour
VFR comms: 23 Questions, 30 mins (about 29 mins more than you need)
IFR comms: 23 Questions, 30 mins

Hope this helps.
