Just seen one of these tonight near Tetney Lock. We've had a good few sightings around here lately that have made the local press.

What UAVs might we conceivably have in the area, if any?

Not gonna post details, but happy to share a PM about it with anyone who might be interested.

You have just seen something flying in the sky near a named place and you are not going to post details?

Are you striving for most meaningless post of the year?

That's right.

Anyways, thanks for the PMs folks. I've replied.

Harrogate,

Can you please send those PMs to me so that I can post them in this thread for us all to read?

Many thanks...

humber,

spill the beans. What were you pm'd?

Its not like the security people can't read your pm's!

/edit: Ok then, PM me. I'll buy you a beer :ok:

If they are anything like the Met computer investigation department, I'd be surprised if they can open their own emails.

Folks

I'm not bothered about security. It's hardly classified and there's no talk of space ships and little green men in the backroom PMs I've sent and received.

I just wanted a discussion with a few interested folks about what I saw without having to sift through the usual tedious crap that appears on most threads on this subject.

Forums like this have a use beyond public discussion. You can use the threads to garner private discussions, and that's all I've done. Nothing wrong with that.

If anyone's massively offended by that, then find a more worthy cause to get upset about. I'm happy for the thread to be closed now if it's really that upsetting.

hey harrogate,

no need to take offence at this thread, or the security issues. There's so much info in the public domain anyway about current projects that we can probably guess what you saw..

I am all up for interesting discussions, so lets us all hear what you have heard in your pms and we can then have the obligatory debate of who will operate it when they are in service, wil the operators get flying pay and what its name should be! :}

I'd be interested in what classification of airspace they (it) operate in and whether they (it) carry and operate TCAS.

...and are they TSO'd and RVSM and MNPS qualified? We civilians must be told. :=

Think Coningsby Typhoons night flying for these sightings. The local Lincs press are simply becoming a laughing stock regarding such stories.

Here we have a chap living in Brinkhill, which is 13 miles from RAF Coningsby, reporting triangles in the sky.

Eyewitnesses can simply be fooled as to what they think they are seeing. Flare dropping trials on the ranges are reported as.

I once saw a black triangle whilst jogging across the sand dunes near Cleethorpes. Then there was a cover up.

She pulled up her trousers and told me to **** off.
