Been a long time since CAL has rated a mention on this site ....all cant be perfect there?
Any expats left?
What happened out of DPS few months ago?
Any recruitment?

Very few expats remain in CAL at this moment, so not to many to go:}:}
CAL is transfering pilots from the B738 fleet to the B744.
What they are gonna to do with the short haul fleet is a big question.
One week they say that the B738s are going to be transfer to the sister company, Mandarin Airlines.
The next week is in the opposite way.:{
Another rumours about the 737 is a complete face out of the fleet from both companies.
They are also looking for an A343 replacement. There are some talkings about B773, but nothing official.
So, what I can tell you is CAL is a BIG ROMOUR, nothing is official.
What you hear today could be totally different tomorrow.

several 747's are being transfered to Yangtse River cargo in Shanghai. Tough times in taiwan, economy is suffering like everywhere.

Mr Flying, CAL is not transfering B744ERF to Yangtze River.
As far as I know that company is buying or leasing the airplanes from other companies.
They are starting to fly the second airplane at this moment.
What CAL is trying to transfer the surplus pilots to Yangtze River.
The main problem for the local/taiwanese pilots to be transfer to Mainland China is theirs passport.
So only those who have dual citizenship are in the transfering process.
Also, CAL is not renewing expat contracts so they are offering instead to go to Mainland China.
