Hadn't heard of this service before so wondering if there is any feedback out there. Bristol Aviation (aka re-branded Bristol Flying Centre's FTO) are offering initial on-line aptitude testing for £47. Gave them a call and apparently using a system called RADAR (Remote Aptitude Determination & Assessment Rating) or such like. 9 different tests, 90 minutes to complete with a summary report provided at the end. Unlikely to be as comprehensive as the £175 GAPAN ones, but no need to travel to Cranwell, so sounds like it might be worth it ????

Tis true VFR you can just give them a ring lots of info on their website Bristol Aviation, Bristol Flying Centre, Flight Training UK, Pilot Training UK, Flying School UK, Commercial Pilot Training UK: Bristol Aviation (http://www.bristolaviation.net) they can send you out a brochure by email or snail mail.

Thinking of doing it myself, 47 pounds is reasonably priced if your serious about it I guess.

Let me know how you get on in this thread or by pm if you do it.

dont think its on the site, i just gave them a call, skype is v handy :ok:. There is another website Bristol Flying Centre (http://www.b-f-c.co.uk) but i dunno if thats a different school at the same aerodrome or not, same address but different numbers. havnt rang them yet. Alternatively give them an email about it and they should get right back to you.

VFR Transit - It's not on their website yet, I'd just give them a call on 01275 476576 and have a chat over the phone, that's what I did.
