Two people have been killed in the crash

ABC News link (http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2008/11/22/2426940.htm)

Northern Territory police say two people have died in a light plane crash at Jindare Station near Pine Creek.
Police say that about 1:30pm (ACDT) they received reports that a light plane had crashed near the station runway, about 40 kilometres south-west of Pine Creek.
Pine Creek Police have attended the scene and say no one else was on board the aircraft.
The Katherine investigation unit is travelling to the scene and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
A Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) spokesman says the plane is a two seater kit-built aircraft known as a VANS RV7

More very sad news in the NT, Mark Grosvenor and his ag pilot Campbell.
Both with very young families.
Campbell is a 6000 hour f/w ag pilot apart from being a very popular r/w mustering driver. Mark of course the principal of Albatross, also very popular in Northern aviation circles.

Hey TET, was it a bit early to announce names yet, or is it already public knowledge?
I have spoken to one of the drivers and he was under the impression that the public aren't supposed to know yet, just curious.
And this from SKYNews: Two people were killed in the crash, but police said it could take days before they are able to formally identify the victims. 'It will probably be some days before we can positively identify the bodies,' a police spokeswoman said.
'We have some idea who they are, but we do need to go through the formal identification.'

Very sad indeed. My thoughts go out to Mark & Campbell's family and friends.

TET, the NT News has their names all over the press.
No offence meant, just trying to protect family, etc.

This arrived here just now. I think the town of Wee Waa in NSW has strong family connnections to Campbell's family.

Word is that ATSB will not be investigating as it is a lightie or some such? Rumour has it that there was nothing silly or out of the box, that it appeared to follow the low wing into the ground in a low level turn to the airstrip. There were two witnesses, station employees. Happened 'real quick', so the story goes.

anyway; here is as below. Noonamah is about thirty minutes south of the Darwin airstrip. Marrara is very close to airport.
