Following some recent research on the subject including a posting on this forum; I plan to write an article on the role of the RAF Hercules in support of the Falklands conflict. I want to outline the involvement of the squadrons and aircraft and then focus on specifics; notably the development of the AA refuelling mods and subsequent usage; including any problems encountered; and on the long distant round trip flights. I would like to correspond with anyone who was involved at any level in these aspects of the operations; and I am keen to obtain any relevant photos taken during the conflict which relates to these operations......of aircraft, personnel and bases.
If you can help please post here or send me an e mail.
Thank you in anticipation,
Doug Gordon.
